Elizabeth and Mike | An Industrial Whimsical Elegance Inspired Wedding at 718 Venue in Fredericksburg, VA

Ok you guys… I have been looking forward to this day for SO long, and the fact that I am getting to share it with you feels surreal… I cannot even tell you how excited I was for Elizabeth and Mike’s wedding day in Fredericksburg, VA to finally arrive! You see, from the moment Elizabeth inquired, all the way to our final goodbyes on her wedding day, her excitement to marry Mike was so, so evident. She spoke about their love and how they are so excited to start this new chapter together. She told me about how fun their relationship felt and how they really just wanted to throw a big, joyous celebration for their family and friends. Ummm sign me up!

These two? They love to laugh and they know how to throw an AMAZING party.Elizabeth has the most joyous and contagious laugh… and you can pretty much assume that we didn’t stop laughing all day long! Elizabeth is a talented artist, and Mike a comedian. They met at an open mic in VA over 8 years ago and officially became a couple in 2012! They soon moved to NYC, where they have enjoyed living in the big city for the life the last five years!

If you have been following along with my 2018 wedding season, you probably know that it was a pretty rainy season. It was only fitting that my final wedding of 2018 was one REALLY rainy day! (What can I say?! My 2018 clients will all be very blessed with good luck!) Thankfully, I have the world’s most amazing clients that refused to let any amount of rain put a damper on their day. We still had such an amazing time celebrating, and even got outside for a few minutes for portraits, much to my delight!

Elizabeth and Mike’s vendor team put together such a beautiful day. It was such a joy to be part of it! Enjoy a sneak peek into their Industrial Whimsical Elegance Inspired Wedding at 718 Venue in Fredericksburg, VA!!!

Fun fact: Elizabeth is an AMAZING artist and designed their entire stationery set herself!

I could photograph these shoes allllll day long! You can never go wrong with Blue by Betsey Johnson!

Elizabeth… GIRL, you are gorgeous!  These two opted to do a first look, and the moment was so special! It was also filled with laughs and was such a special moment to witness!!

I’m so thankful for my brave couples that will let me pull them into the rain for portraits! Worth. It.

During the planning process, Elizabeth mentioned that she would love if someone surprised her with a pup to pet on her wedding day! Well… Meg of Happy to Be sure delivered by bringing in her sweet pup at the end of portraits! What a fun wedding day surprise!

Still in love with this holiday inspired garland!

I loved the design of Elizabeth and Mike’s day! They had an indoor, standing ceremony that flowed right into cocktail hour and then their reception! It was all in the same space and was so convenient for their guests. I love how this structure for their day made the entire thing feel so warm, welcoming and laid back!

Let’s get these two married!

I loved how these two tied the knot, while all their closest family and friends looked on!

I should remind you that Mike and their officiant, Adam, are both comedians. You can bet that we laughed a lot throughout their celebration!  Married!!!

Their ceremony flowed right into their reception… what a treat it was to hear all of the sweet things their friends and family had to say about their relationship. There were so, so many laughs.

Elizabeth & Mike had a friend play their first dance music, live! How special!!!   Elizabeth told me that her mom and Mike’s became super close throughout the planning process. What a blessing it is to be able to witness two families becoming one! I loved watching these two celebrate their children all night long… you can tell they are two proud moms!

Special delivery… jumbo slice pizza from right next door. Yes please!!!

So, so blessed to know these two! Congratulations to the Mr. and Mrs.!

A special thank you to the team that made their day so wonderful:
