Sweet Baby K. is now a few months old and so incredibly sweet…. which makes looking back on her newborn photos all the more heartwarming! Months and months ago, I met her parents, Abby and Nick, for her Baltimore lifestyle newborn session, and right away, I was taken by her chubby cheeks and tiny toes. Today, I am excited to feature Abby, Nick, and their precious baby girl, K. As a Baltimore lifestyle newborn photographer, I had the privilege of freezing such a sweet moment in time, and today, we get to take a look back on our morning together.
Abby and Nick welcomed me into their home just days after they welcomed their daughter, Baby K.
The air was filled with joy and anticipation as they embarked on their journey into parenthood. As a newborn photographer, I was eager to capture this special season, preserving the love and connection that defined their growing family. Baby Kai was an absolute delight to photograph. Her adorable cheeks and delicate features stole my heart from the moment I met her and made an already special session, that much sweeter.
I was lucky enough to see Abby and Nick while they were still expecting Baby K for their maternity session, and it was so much fun to finally see them holding their baby girl in their arms. Nick swaddled his daughter like a champ during their session, effortlessly wrapping her into a snuggly bundle, which made her fall asleep nearly instantly. It was such a treat to see how Abby and Nick work together as the perfect team, seamlessly helping the other with just a glance, every time Baby K needed something. (Which, to be honest, wasn’t all that often— their baby girl is the best!)
Sweet Baby K. followed her own sleep schedule during the session, sleeping peacefully throughout our entire time together.
AKA a DREAM! Her serene sleep, combined with her dad’s swaddling skills, made it so easy to capture so many sweet moments of this family together.
Pickle, Baby K’s big brother with four legs, brought an extra sprinkle of joy to our Baltimore lifestyle newborn session. His wagging tail and desire to be part of everything made our time together even brighter. He is doing so well bonding with his new human sibling, and though he now has to share the spotlight, he is adjusting quickly.
Throughout our time together, we were able to capture so many sweet photos in the nursery and Abby and Nick’s bedroom. I so love the relaxed atmosphere that in-home newborn sessions allow. Abby borrowed two gorgeous pieces from the client closet, and I so love how her selected pieces tied their session in a way that allowed their love to truly shine.
My Baltimore lifestyle newborn session with Abby, Nick, and Baby K was a celebration of love, connection, and the beauty of new beginnings.
It never fails to strike me that, as a newborn photographer, I am welcomed into some of the most intimate and special moments that a family will ever experience. It is an honor and a joy, and I feel so grateful that Abby and Nick trusted me with such a sweet season of theirs.
