Just when you thought you saw the last of cherry blossom season… I’ve been keeping this beautiful session up my sleeve! Allie and Jamion are one of my sweet couples from 2017, and just recently, they welcomed their beautiful baby boy to the world. (Congrats you two! I am so happy for your family!) We met up back in March to capture a few photos of Allie and Jamion, and while we were joined by so many tourists that the closest their Uber could them off was near the White House, these two were absolute CHAMPS and were so down to explore. We had to get a little creative with finding backdrops that didn’t include a handful of selfie sticks, a sprinkling of backpacks, and a whole lot of blossom visitors, but somehow, we made it work… and DANG it was magic.
I met Allie and Jamion for their cherry blossom maternity session at the Tidal Basin in March, and WOW these DC views and fluffy cherry blossoms will never get old.
I truly feel so lucky to work with some of the most incredible people. Allie and my sister worked together while Allie was planning her wedding, and ever since she heard about what I was dreaming about doing with CKP, she has been one of my number one fans. From photographing Allie and Jamion’s engagement session, their wedding, and now their pregnancy, it never fails to hit me just how lucky I am to work with some of the most genuine, caring, thoughtful, and not to mention beautiful people. Allie and Jamion, it was SO sweet to see you two for your maternity mini, and I am sending you nothing but love as you settle in with your addition!
It was quite literally snowing cherry blossoms!
