Allie and Jamion | A Classic Spring Garden Wedding at Walker’s Overlook in Frederick, Maryland

I can’t help but to get emotional when someone invites me to be part of their wedding day… It is truly an honor to walk alongside my couples during one of the most memorable days of their life, and is something I take on with so much joy and excitement. Now… I usually tear up during most wedding days, but I found myself misty-eyed behind the camera a little more than usual during this one! 

Allie and Jamion’s wedding day was so incredibly amazing. Not only did they plan an absolutely perfect garden party from start to finish (these two thought of everything!), but the way their families came together to celebrate brought such a special energy to their day. Their day was filled with so much love and so much joy. From the moment Allie’s mom helped her into her dress, to Allie’s first look with her new stepson, Jacoy, to the emotional vows she read to both Jamion and Jacoy during their ceremony, to Jamion’s emotional dance with his mom at their reception… you better bet that I had all of the tissues ready to go in my pockets.

I remember leaving their engagement session back in December, thinking about how these two really get each other. They have a way of communicating with just a glance and are just genuine and amazing people. They’re truly a perfect match, and it was such an honor to tell just a small portion of their love story. Not only do they love each other so much, I soon learned just how loved they are by all of their family and friends.

Their wedding day celebrated the exciting new chapter that Allie, Jamion and Jacoy are about to embark on together, and also celebrated the joining of their very special families. What a celebration it was! You never would have guessed that it rained almost the entire day. I am SO thankful that the rain was light and that these two & their guests are absolute troopers. Nothing was going to get in the way of their day!
