I’ve been dying to recap cherry blossom engagement sessions for about a MONTH now, and today’s the day the first engagement session hits the blog… and let me tell y’all… it was a GOOD ONE! Meet Stacie and Dan… one of the sweetest and most prepared couples I’ve ever met who have been looking forward to this session for YEARS. These two came READY with coats, comfy shoes for walking, and the biggest smiles… while the trees at the Tidal Basin were decked out in the fluffiest pale pink blooms. It was an absolute dream!
Stacie and Dan were set up by a mutual friend in 2016. After a few years of dating (and with a 6-month separation while Stacie was living in Ecuador in there too!), their wedding planning is officially in FULL SWING, and these two couldn’t be more excited to officially become husband and wife. Dan fell in love with who Stacie is as a person and how she makes him feel while Stacie fell in love with Dan’s unwavering commitment and love for her, his patience, and his ability to have fun and act like a kid with her.
We’ve been planning their cherry blossom engagement session since our very first conversation back in July, and I have to say… it was 100% worth the wait! We met at Jefferson at the crack of dawn during the peak of cherry blossom season, and I REALLY have to hand it to these two… They were TROOPERS! We covered SO much ground and visited all of the monumental views around the Tidal Basin all before 9AM. I can’t quite remember my official step count from their morning at this point, but I think it was somewhere around the 5K mark. Seriously… so grateful these two were down for anything because… well, the images speak for themselves!
