I’ve been SO excited to share Bri and her sweet Frenchie, Bentley, with y’all! I mean, their matching grad attire?! It couldn’t be any sweeter! Bri graduated from GW University with her Masters of Science in Sports Management this past May. She and her family were in town to celebrate, so we got together one morning at the Lincoln Memorial to document the occasion! When I say we couldn’t have ordered a more perfect morning, I’m not kidding!
I was a little worried about the weather turning on us because Bri had traveled so far for her session and would be leaving the next day! I kept an eye on it all week, fingers crossed! Morning of, we had a little bit of heat and humidity, but we also had the best kind of cloud coverage (And no rain!!) that really opened up many locations! The sky was literally one giant softbox— perfect for our time together at the Lincoln Memorial and GW’s campus!
Bri had mentioned that she would be bringing along her pup but totally surprised me with Bentley’s adorable grad attire. He was a huge part of her support system— completing a master’s degree in the middle of a pandemic isn’t easy— so he got his own cap and gown to help celebrate his honorary degree too! I just about DIED when Bri pulled out his little cap that was decorated to match her own so perfectly. Even with so many people, ducks, and squirrels around, this guy was a total HAM for the camera and into every moment of the session— I was so impressed!

PS Future grads dreaming of a session at the Lincoln Memorial should note that it’s currently under construction until 2026. Don’t worry, though! We headed over to GW’s campus to wrap up our session— Bentley and Bri used to play ball in this courtyard together all the time!
