Katie and Charlie | An Eggplant, Lavender and Sage Inspired Wedding at Chateau Bu-De Vineyard & Winery, Bohemia Manor Farm

Y’all… I just need to prepare you for allllll of the sage and lavender and portrait and golden goodness that is about to come your way. To say that I was squealing the entire time I was putting this post together would be THE understatement of the century.

I knew Katie & Charlie’s day was going to be pure magic the very moment I met them. These two are something beyond special. They’re funny, they’re caring, and they for sure know how to look absolutely amazing in front of the camera… Katie took the time to incorporate so many sweet, personal touches throughout their wedding day. From the bouquets of dried lavender that Katie tied herself… to sweet white pumpkins grown in Katie & her family’s gardens that were incorporated into reception center pieces… to sweet family heirlooms that Katie wore along with her bridal look, the time they’ve spent making memories at their venue leading up to their wedding day, and their ceremony that was officiated by Katie’s brother— there was so much meaning weaved into the fabric of their day from start to finish. I cannot wait for you to get a peek into their wedding day at Chateau Bu-De!!

When I arrived in Katie’s suite, I was greeted with so much excited energy. Each of Katie’s bridesmaids were so excited to be standing by her side on her wedding day. This energy didn’t stop all day long. They had the sweetest first look, a meaningful ceremony led by Katie’s brother, and one ROCKIN’ party that didn’t stop for a second. K & C’s family and friends were ready to celebrate these two and their love, and it made their day an absolute blast! And… want to know the craziest part, y’all?! It didn’t rain!!! There has been rain at 100% of my weddings so far this year, and on Saturday? We had dry skies!!! Can you even believe it?!

Now…. because I am so excited for you to see how gorgeous their day was, let’s just get the goodness going!!

I knew Katie & Charlie’s crew was going to be fun from the moment I met them!!

Would you just look at the sweet way Katie is looking at her mama?! Fills my heart right up!

You know how I said there was SO many meaningful touches intertwined into K&C’s day? Well… right below, you’ll see Katie’s grandmother’s ring & a small piece of Katie’s mom’s own wedding gown. Don’t mind me… I’ll just be over here with my box of tissues!

A quick drive over to the vineyard, and it is already time for Katie and Charlie’s first look!!! You guys… wait until you see how sweet this moment was!!! Let me tell you, first looks are ALWAYS worth it!

Katie’s aunt crocheted her a gorgeous shawl to keep her warm on her wedding day! It was such a gorgeous addition to her bridal look and is going to be the sweetest heirloom in the future.

One of my FAVORITES… just look at their pure JOY!

That moment when your BEST friends arrive for portraits!

Just a reminder…. Katie MADE these bouquets. I wish I could send smells right through the screen. They smelled absolutely divine!

Baby Claire!!! She was amazing all day long! And can we talk about her lavender crown that Katie made?!

I could walk through these vines alllll day long!

Katie and Charlie had their rings set out before their ceremony for guests to send them warm wishes and blessings! This was the first time I’ve seen this done at a wedding, and I thought it was such an amazing idea.

They’re MARRIED y’all!!!

These might just be some of my favorite “just married” portraits of all time!!

A reception with a view… count me in!

Saturday was a bit overcast all day long, and we waited all day long for some glow. Well… we finally got some, just over the tree line! We were all SO excited to make these portraits happen!

Funny story about the portraits below… these were taken a few minutes into Katie & Charlie’s reception! My second shooter, Marie, and I were sitting, eating, and watching the sunset. I was dying about how gorgeous the glow was, but I had already pulled Katie and Charlie for SO many portraits (#worthit). I wanted to give them some time to eat and greet their guests…. but I also really wanted to capture them with some of that gorgeous light! I was trying to decide what to do, and that’s when Katie and Charlie came rushing over and asked for ANOTHER round of portraits! It was my DREAM come true! I am SO thankful for sweet couples like these two that love gorgeous glow as much as I do!!!

Time to party!

Katie’s grandparents won the anniversary dance! What a sweet testament their love story is!

This crew knew how to PARTY!!!

Love these two! So excited to see what their future holds.

Ok… you know these two may just be my ideal couple when they have Mister Softee make a stop by their wedding!!! I don’t think I could think of a sweeter way to finish off an incredible day!

Congratulations to the brand new Mr. & Mrs.!!!
