I have such a treat for you today, friends!! Ashley and Karthik’s Federal Hill engagement photos were so much fun and such a joyful way to kick off my spring season last year! (Yes… I’m slowly but surely catching up on all the blogging prettiness—thank you for your patience while I share some of my favorites from seasons past!)
Ashley and Karthik are the kind of people you feel instantly at ease with—warm, hilarious, thoughtful, and just so much fun to be around.
Their session was playful and casual and filled with so much laughter… the best kind of evening, if you ask me! We started down in the neighborhood streets of Federal Hill before wandering over to the waterfront for a few glowy golden hour moments. Once the sun started to set, we headed up into the park for some iconic Baltimore skyline views that never, ever get old. (Bonus: it’s always a blast when I get to walk to and from work for sessions like these!)
If you’re dreaming of Inner Harbor engagement photos or planning your own Federal Hill engagement session, take this as your sign that both locations are absolutely stunning—especially in the spring!
One of my favorite moments from their session was when we got creative for their save the date photo! Karthik’s phone may have made a guest appearance (scroll to see why I’m still obsessed… he is known for his iconic phone!). These two brought such fun energy to every frame and had me smiling nonstop behind the camera.
A little about their story:
Ashley and Karthik first met through work at the University of Maryland Baltimore—Karthik was her IT guy, and after they ended up at the same happy hour one night, the rest was history. Fast forward to January 3, 2023: Ashley surprised Karthik with a trip to Europe, and he surprised her right back with the most unexpected proposal! They’re both huge Arsenal fans and were being interviewed by a fan TV crew after a game when he popped the question. It was completely out of the blue, totally them, and SO sweet. (Best yet, you can catch the moment it went down here!)
These two were married this past September at the Renaissance in the Inner Harbor, and their wedding day was just as full of heart and joy as their engagement session. (Find their full wedding day recap right here!)
