While I’m not sure words will ever accurately convey just how amazing Taylor and Tres’s wedding day was… I can try! This was the kind of day that felt warm from the inside out (Despite the chilly temps outside)— filled with intention, color, laughter, and those quiet moments that remind everyone in the room just how special it is to witness two people choose each other forever.

I was absolutely buzzing with excitement to photograph these two. Taylor and Tres are the kind of humans who radiate kindness, love their people deeply, and bring a joyful steadiness into every space they walk into. Seeing them become husband and wife felt like the sweetest full-circle moment, and I am endlessly grateful that I got to be a small part of their day.

Their love story began, like so many modern ones do, on a dating app — with a fateful first date at an arcade-style bar that gave them an early glimpse into the perfect energy they would one day build a life around.

But Orangetheory is what brought them into my life. I met Taylor as my client first! Not long after, she started bringing her then-boyfriend (now husband!!) to class, eventually encouraging Tres to join the desk staff. Before we knew it, Tres and I were spending many delirious afternoons cleaning treadmills together, listening to true crime podcasts, and forming the kind of friendship that you build with coworkers when life is stressful and work hours are long.

To see Tres step into his wedding day all these years later — ready to marry the love of his life — felt surreal and unbelievably sweet. But as full-circle as the day was for me, Taylor and Tres’s was always about them and the incredible love they share… so let’s get to the good stuff!

When I pulled into Rosewood Farms on the morning of their wedding, the sky was a brilliant, clear blue — the kind of fall morning that feels like it was ordered just for them.

Inside the cottage, the ladies were deep into hair and makeup, surrounded by music, laughter, and the kind of cozy excitement that only a wedding morning can bring. The energy was relaxed but joyfully buzzing… exactly the tone that carried through the entire day.

I laid out Taylor and Tres’s details and immediately fell in love with their custom travel-inspired stationery suite designed by Taylor’s sister and matron of honor. Every piece felt personal, thoughtful, and perfectly reflective of the adventures they’ve already shared and the ones still to come. It was truly one of the most unique invitation suites I’ve ever photographed.

Since Taylor and Tres chose to see each other for the first time at the altar, the early afternoon held a beautiful, electric anticipation.

We started with Tres’s side — his groomsmen and family — and the reunion was so much fun. It was surreal seeing him in groom mode, but also so special. He was calm, excited, and so ready to marry Taylor.

Soon it was time to photograph Taylor and her bridesmaids, and the vibes were immaculate. The ladies looked stunning, the fall colors were glowing, and their joy for Taylor was palpable. Every laugh, every little squeeze of her hand, every “you look AMAZING!!” made the whole afternoon feel even more meaningful.

Wedding days really do move at lightning speed, and before we knew it, it was time to get these two HITCHED!

Taylor and Tres were married in the sweetest ceremony officiated by one of their dear friends — a detail that made everything feel even more personal as she shared personal anecdotes of her experience of seeing Taylor and Tres fall in love.

Their handwritten vows were heartfelt and full of emotion, causing equal parts laughter and happy tears from everyone present. When they exchanged rings and sealed the moment with a kiss, the cheers that erupted from their guests said everything: these two are deeply loved, supported, and celebrated!

After the ceremony, we wandered the property for their portraits as the sun slipped lower in the sky.

The warm autumn palette, paired with the soft golden light, made everything feel cinematic and dreamy. Taylor and Tres were in their own joyful bubble — soaking in the fact that they were finally, officially, husband and wife. They snuggled, laughed, twirled, swung, and made my job unbelievably easy. These quiet post-ceremony moments are often the ones that stick with me the most.

Cocktail hour flowed seamlessly into their reception, where the room glowed with candlelight and cozy fall ambiance. Their guests settled in for a beautiful dinner which these two kicked off with the sweetest first dance to Tennessee Orange— the perfect nod to Tres’s roots. Their people shared toasts— the kind that have you laughing one second and brushing away tears the next— and they cut the cake topped with Taylor’s grandmother’s cake topper.

And then… the dance floor opened. ANNND this is where things got really fun.

If you ever witnessed Tres’s iconic behind-the-desk dance skills back in our Orangetheory days, you already know he was ready for a good beat. Turns out he shares this trait with his people too! This dance floor STAYED packed, and their people showed up with energy that could have powered the entire venue. It was the best kind of party — joyful, electric, and overflowing with celebration.
