On a balmy summer evening, in the heart of Pennsylvania, I got to meet with one of my sweet 2024 couples for the first time! Engagement sessions are always one of my favorite parts of the wedding experience because it is the first time that I get to meet and get to know most of my couples before their wedding day! Megan and Noah’s engagement session just so happened to be a little extra special though! You see… not only did I get to know these two a little better, but I also got to see the place where their love story began!
Megan and Noah’s paths first crossed in the small world (Megan’s words, not mine!) of Pennsylvania politics.
Their shared passions and field eventually led to a personal connection that would change their lives forever. A simple message from Noah to Megan was all it took to spark a connection. A casual drink later, and they were inseparable!
As their relationship deepened, Noah began planning his proposal to Megan! Throughout time, Megan started to speculate on when he may pop the question. Initially, they planned an elaborate dinner in Philadelphia for New Years, but they ended up cancelling these plans. A subsequent attempt in Harrisburg also met with an unexpected hitch when Megan caught COVID.
Megan was convinced it would be one of the two above plans, so she was left wondering WHEN the proposal may happen. Fast forward to the end of January, Sunday brunch set the stage for the big moment! They enjoyed some eats at a restaurant that Megan picked out before taking a stroll along the picturesque river in Harrisburg. Finally, Noah got down on one knee, asking the most important question of their lives. Megan could hardly remember her response; all she knew was that it was a resounding ‘Yes!
Their bond is cemented by their shared values and complementary personalities.
Megan, with her warm, kind, and down-to-earth nature, is a beacon of positivity. Noah, with his insatiable curiosity and intellectual pursuit, inspires Megan to continually expand her horizon. Noah loves how warm and kind Megan is to everyone. She is down-to-earth, easy to relate to, and has a good disposition about life in general. Megan loves Noah’s curiosity about life: he is always educating himself about a new topic, reading the news, or looking up a new word he came across in his daily reading.
In short? These two are one of the sweetest couples and are such a joy to be around!

Despite the sweltering summer heat, the couple’s joy was palpable. They laughed and snuggled and exchanged the sweetest looks, even in the hot, hot, hot summer heat. The stunning backdrop of the Capitol building added a touch of grandeur to their natural sweetness in front of the camera, culminating in a perfect Pennsylvania State Capitol engagement session… all while paying tribute to the place where their love story first began!
As they look forward to their upcoming wedding in March, Megan and Noah are excited to celebrate their love with their closest friends and family.
