Nicole and Dylan | An Intimate Garden Chic Ceremony with Pops of Dusty Rose and Gold in Bucks County, PA

A few months ago, Nicole reached out to me, letting me know that she and Dylan made the incredibly tough decision to postpone their wedding day. I could feel the disappointment in her email, and it absolutely broke my heart. Just a few days after receiving that email though, I got another note from Nicole, this one a little more excited! She and Dylan decided to officially become husband and wife on their original wedding date while postponing their “big wedding” to next year. They were planning a gorgeous, intimate ceremony at Nicole’s aunt’s home, and would I be able to come along to photograph it?! (I don’t know that I’ve ever said yes to something faster! Count me in!!)

I was so grateful, relieved, and EXCITED for these two, and when their day came to be, it was so special to watch just how excited these two were to be married! You could feel, not only how excited they were to make their marriage official, but you could also feel their relief and JOY too! I know this year has been so incredibly stressful for many, and that has definitely been true for couples planning weddings. Plans, dates, and wedding visions have been changed, but what I’ve noticed has not changed is the EXCITEMENT to officially be married, even when the day looks a little different than originally planned. This was SO true for these two. Though their “big wedding” was pushed to next year, they were able to say vows to become Mr. and Mrs. this year, and their smiles in that moment said it all— It was such a special moment to witness and document!

Nicole and Dylan’s day was made possible by the love, resources, and talents of so many of their loved ones which made it all the more special! It was so rewarding to watch all of their hard work and fast planning come together in one incredibly stunning day, but it was even more special to see how excited their friends and family were to celebrate these two. Nicole and Dylan are OFFICIALLY married, and I can’t wait to share some of the sweet moments with you today! The best part? I didn’t even have to be sad as I said goodbye to these two at the end of the night— I’ll get to see them in just a few months for their larger wedding day! Let’s hope we’re all able to hug again by that point!

Nicole’s sweet mama helping her out with shoes… and the first time Nicole’s besties saw her as a BRIDE! Nicole… you are SO loved by your people! Can we talk about this gorgeous BOUQUET?! Nicole… you make such a stunning bride! Back when Nicole was about 2 years old, they bought this family home! As they were touring houses, their realtor said: “Just imagine your daughter coming down these stairs on her wedding day!” Well… Nicole’s sweet parents have been waiting for this moment for a little over 20 years, and this past Friday, it happened— I don’t think there was a dry eye in their foyer! This light… the attention to detail… I could have photographed this setup all day! Time to get these two married! They wrote the sweetest personal vows… I love it when I get to know couples a little extra during their ceremony! OFFICIAL! Not sure I’ll ever get over their gorgeous golden hour portraits! Time for dinner! Talk about a gorgeous fall-inspired refreshment!  Congrats, you two! I can’t wait to celebrate again in a few months!!!
