These two are big rock climbers… in fact, the very first time that Meg and Nate met was at their climbing gym. They often arrived to the gym before their climbing partners, and in Meg’s words: “One day we got to talking, and we just never stopped… now he’s going to be my climbing partner for life.” UMM talk about sweet!
I got to meet Meg and Nate a few weeks before their engagement session, and instantly, I knew that they have a special kind of love. They’re the kind of people that balance each other out in the most perfect way. Meg is bubbly and kind, and you can tell that Nate is her rock. He has a calming presence, and I can tell that he is one organized guy! He has been so great with keeping their wedding logistics in line, which is much appreciated as their photographer! They understand each other in such a deep way, and when you are with them, you can truly feel this. They’re one special kind of couple, and I am so honored to have the opportunity to tell their story.
These two knew they wanted an engagement session that was special to DC. We met up during peak cherry blossom bloom for their engagement session, and if you ask me, there is nothing that says DC more than that!! Y’all let me tell you… it was some kind of magic. Meg and Nate braved early wakeup calls, crowds of tourists, commuters on bikes AND chilly temperatures for their engagement photos. (Have I ever mentioned that I have the best clients in the world?!)
We had the best sunrise light, shared some giggles and most definitely got our step count for the day in as we enjoyed the stunning views. It felt so good to be back behind the camera, after a bit of a winter off-season, and these two were the absolute BEST way to officially kick off my busier season! We toured the magical, fluffy, blush blooms all morning, and I just can’t wait any longer to share a few of my favorite frames with you! We had an absolute blast, and now I’m counting down the days ’til their celebration arrives.
Meg and Nate are planning a fun July wedding with a BIG surprise for their guests. AHHH y’all I can’t share any more than that with you right now, but it is going to be such a blast.
Meg, you have the most gorgeous eyes! That ring though!
