Hi friend!!
I am so excited to start your Monday off with one crazy exciting announcement! I’m going to Charleston, SC with Savannah Smith Photography, and YOU have the opportunity to win something special! I’ll get to the good stuff in a minute, but first, a little bit of a backstory!
If you haven’t seen her name all over my ‘gram yet, Savannah is my sweet friend that calls Chester County, PA home. We met a few years back in college when she was my THON Captain and have basically been in constant contact ever since. She’s part business mentor, mom, bestie, soul sister, and fellow animal lover. She is a huge part of my support system and has welcomed me and my constant questions into her life with open arms. I know that she is someone that I know is always just a text away, and I am constantly blown away by all that she is doing. Whether I am sending another picture of one of my houseplants, am asking for business advice, or just need to vent, I know she’ll be there for me, regardless of what she has on her plate. She is a crazy talented photographer, editor, writer and designer, and all around incredible human. Y’all, I could go on and on and on, but I’ll cut it there. I’ll just say that I am SO thankful for Savannah’s friendship!
So…when Savannah suggested we take a mini business retreat/girls’ weekend to dive deep into our goals and to recharge our plans for the year ahead, I asked no questions and said count me in! We soon decided that we would be visiting Charleston and set to planning!
We’re both coming off of our busy season, and a pretty crazy one at that! Life has been crazy for us, guys, both personally and professionally! I know I am not just speaking for me when I say that work days have been long (12-18 hours long, y’all!), to-do lists feel all consuming, and goals are bigger than ever before. Guys…running a small business is a lot of work, and yes, it is SO incredibly rewarding. I am grateful for every second of this adventure!! But, it is also crazy stressful–there’s a lot at stake! You are responsible for every single decision, every step on your way to success, every failure and shortcoming. Sometimes, you just need to step away from your daily environment to really decide, not only what you want for your future, but what you really need! So….we’re making an escape right before the start of the new year to do just that!
We’re using our girls retreat weekend to recharge after our busy seasons and to inspire ourselves to dig deep into what we truly want from our businesses. We’re creating the roadmap for 2018 and beyond, both for our businesses and our personal lives. We’ll be asking each other the tough questions while using the endless gorgeousness of the city to re-inspire our creative hearts and to help spark growth and change. Y’all…I cannot wait to dig deep into some intention setting goodness, and I am even more excited to let you know that you can share in our experience!

We want to hear all about your love story, and then we want to hang out to capture this sweet season of your life! We’ll meet and greet for a quick session, and when all is said and done, you will receive your lightly retouched images in an online gallery.
