I think I’ve pinched myself each time I’ve looked through these photos! You see, I’ve known Marcela since we were the world’s most awkward middle schoolers. She has been such a dear friend throughout the years, and I had the absolute honor of shooting her and Sam’s engagement photos while I was home for Thanksgiving.
These high school sweethearts met for the first time on a choir bus ride to Six Flags, and a few silly encounters later, the rest was history! I remember Marcela coming into American Sign Language class one day, beaming. She instantly gushing about a super sweet guy she met…any guesses as to who it was?
It was so amazing to see how their love has grown and matured since those early days in high school. They included so many personal touches in their session, and I loved every second of it. That blanket? The very first gift Sam ever gave Marcela. The park? The location of their first date. They are truly the happiest when they are together, and I am so excited to see where their love story takes them!
And what good is an engagement session if you don’t have at least a few outtakes?
