Kara and Kendall’s engagement session at The National Gallery of Art in DC happened on what can only be described as a wild fall weekend afternoon. Think: packed galleries, constant movement, and a whole lot of “wait… okay now go!” energy.
And honestly? It made the whole thing even more fun. These two completely rolled with it.
We were ducking into little pockets of space, finding soft light where we could, stealing moments in between the crowds—and somehow, it all just worked.
A little stop and go, a lot of laughter, and so much snuggling in tucked-away corners of the museum.
Because at the end of the day, it wasn’t about the chaos around us. It was about them.
Kara and Kendall have this kind of love that feels grounded and steady, but still so full of joy. The way they look at each other is soft and intentional, like they’re fully in it together. It’s the kind of connection that doesn’t need perfect conditions to shine— it just does.
And for Kendall, someone who loves art, there really couldn’t have been a more fitting place for engagement photos than the National Gallery of Art.
Getting to wander one of the most iconic museums in DC, surrounded by pieces that inspire them, while documenting this season of their relationship felt personal in the best way.

Kara and Kendall—thank you for trusting me in the middle of the chaos, for embracing the moment, and for being so fully yourselves.
Your love is something really special, and it was such a joy to document it.
