There is something so special about documenting love in a space that already holds so much of it, and Taylor and Tristan’s engagement session was exactly that!
Their love is the kind that feels instantly grounding. It’s warm, steady, and deeply real. They are gentle with one another, endlessly supportive, and somehow also so much fun to be around. The kind of couple that makes you feel like you’ve known them forever… and like you’re lucky to be included in their world.
And for their engagement session? They quite literally welcomed me into that world!
Taylor and Tristan invited me into their home for some cozy engagement photos, and I truly can’t imagine a more perfect place to celebrate this season of their lives.
Their home is filled with meaning, comfort, and the quiet kind of joy that reflects who they are together. Choosing to document their engagement here felt so intentional— almost like pressing pause on this chapter to honor it exactly as it is.
We began outside, surrounded by the rich, golden tones of fall. There’s just something about crisp air and changing leaves that makes everything feel a little extra magical. They popped champagne, shared a sweet little cheers, and soaked it all in together— laughing, clinking glasses, and fully present in the moment.
From there, we moved through the spaces that make up their everyday life.
We paused on the front porch for quiet snuggles and soft, stolen kisses— those in-between moments that feel both simple and everything at once. The kind of moments that don’t need much direction because they’re already so naturally them.
Inside, the session shifted into something even cozier. Curled up on the couch, wrapped up in each other (and joined by their adorable kitties 🐾), everything felt relaxed, intimate, and so full of love.
This cozy at home engagement session near Baltimore, MD was the perfect reflection of who Taylor and Tristan are as a couple—inviting, intentional, and filled with warmth.
One of my favorite parts of getting to know my couples is hearing what they love most about each other—and Taylor and Tristan’s words could not be more heartfelt.
Taylor shared:
“Tristan is the kindest man I know. He is my calm in the chaos of life. I feel so lucky to have him next to me—we can conquer anything together.”
And Tristan said:
“Taylor makes every experience better with warmth of spirit and genuine nature. She is always thinking of others and makes me feel special like I’ve never felt before. I can’t believe how lucky I am to have found her.”
(Just… excuse me while I melt 🥹)
Getting to photograph this chapter for them felt extra special, especially because I had the absolute joy of documenting their wedding day at the Maryland Zoo last year— which was truly a dream from start to finish.
There is something so full-circle about capturing both the quiet, cozy beginnings of an engagement season and the big, beautiful celebration that follows. And with Taylor and Tristan, every moment in between has felt just as meaningful.
