An Intimate Wedding Ceremony in Laurel, MD | Colleen and Aaron

I’ll never forget the way that Colleen and Aaron look at each other! There is a little extra spark in their gaze, and as they look into the other’s eyes, you can visibly see their shoulders relax and smiles soften. Even in my short time with them, it is abundantly clear that they are perfect for each other, providing security and a feeling of home when in the others arms.

Between the two of them, they have 8 kids. It was important to them that their day was simple yet reflective of their union as a couple and as a family. Throughout their ceremony, they had many sweet touches to unify their families— one of my favorites was when they poured different pieces of glass into one jar. Each family member selected their favorite color, and together, they poured their selection into one glass jar. All I could think about was how special of a keepsake this will be down the road!

Colleen and Aaron met during the pandemic in an online meetup group and continued to stay in touch online until the world opened back up. While I wish it didn’t take a literal global pandemic to bring these two together, I think it is safe to say that fate was involved, introducing these two to their soulmate when the world was literally shut down. Fast forward to June of 2022, and Colleen and Aaron were in the living room when suddenly, he got down on one knee and proposed with a Ring Pop! She didn’t realize that he had a ring, but soon, he surprised her with her gorgeous engagement ring.

Colleen says his proposal was simple, sweet, and so perfect!

Colleen and Aaron’s intimate wedding ceremony was held in Laurel, MD just a few days before Thanksgiving, and I have been SO excited to share it with you ever since! From the moment I arrived, I was struck by just how loved these two are by their families. Colleen’s daughters were giddy as they watched their mom transform into a bride, constantly exclaiming their excitement that their mom was getting MARRIED! These two were married in a historical church on the Feast of St. Cecelia, a date to honor Colleen’s late mother. They created a day that was simple, intentional, and reflective of who they are as a couple and who they will be as a family.

I’ve kept these special photos from you long enough, so let’s dive right into recapping Colleen and Aaron’s intimate wedding ceremony in Laurel, MD!
