It’s about time these sweet parents-to-be make their debut on the blog… considering they have been full on parents for weeks now! I got to meet up with Katrina and Cory back in July, and in early August, they officially welcomed their baby girl to the world!
Katrina and Cory’s Patterson Park maternity session was extra special for so many reasons!
Katrina was one of the very first people I met when I decided to move to Baltimore. She ran my Orangetheory coach training and then later became one of my bosses! She was an incredible support throughout my time at OTF and has continued to be a huge supporter of my business after I decided to move on. It’s just crazy to me that someone I met on a phone interview back in the middle of the height of the pandemic ended up in front of my camera for something so special. Having the honor of photographing amazing people in sweet seasons of life is something that I will never take for granted.
It was so much fun to see Katrina in an environment where we both weren’t sweaty and in spandex, but more than that, it was so special to hear all about her pregnancy and excitement for a new season in life. She gave me a recap on her pregnancy up to that point… how she was feeling, nursery plans, how they were keeping the name a surprise, and more! At the time, Katrina and Cory weren’t sure if they were having a boy or a girl, but they had the perfect name picked out for both genders (The same, just with a different spelling!). Fast forward a few quick weeks after our session, and they were officially welcoming their baby girl to their family!
Congratulations, Katrina and Cory! It was so incredibly special to see you and to photograph you during such a special season!
On the day of Katrina and Cory’s maternity session, we met up in Patterson Park! If you’ve ever been, you know it is absolutely beautiful, but it can be pretty expansive to walk between different locations, especially at 8+ months pregnant! Katrina was an absolute champ though, walking through to all the best spots without a complaint! During her Patterson Park maternity session, we managed to visit the Pagoda, explored the paths surrounding the pond, and even found some super cute sidewalk and stair views just before we said our goodbyes and hopped into our cars. Throughout our time together, we laughed and reminisced and talked all about the future their sweet Baby C had in store!
