I’m not a family photographer by any stretch, but when a CKP couple reaches out to ask if I can photograph their growing family, I just can’t help but step a little out of my typical scope! There’s nothing quite watching people move through various milestones of life, but it’s just a little extra special when you have the opportunity to photograph these different seasons.
I photographed Jamie and Ian’s wedding day at Chesapeake Bay Beach Club in 2019, and just recently, they welcomed sweet baby A to their family! Jamie reached out to see if I would be interested in photographing their family, and I couldn’t say yes fast enough. It was SO great to see these two again after a few years! We met early one morning at her parents’ house which is right on the water with some of the most STUNNING views. Sweet baby A was an absolute angel, awake for part of the session, and sleeping like a dream for the later half! It was so special to see Jamie and Ian as parents, navigating this new season like absolute pros.
In total, I’ve gotten to see them as fiances, just married, and now as new parents. If that isn’t the biggest honor, I’m not sure what is— just saying those words bring tears to my eyes! Jamie and Ian, thank you so much for trusting me to photograph your lives together. I can’t wait to share a quick recap from our morning together— just wait until you see Jamie and Baby A’s matching blush dresses… these three are just a dream!
