Samantha’s Graduation Portraits at the Lincoln Memorial | Washington, DC Graduation Portrait Photographer

A grad with sweetness to match her smarts, red bottoms, and one of the most iconic locations in the DMV?! Sign me up! Samantha was the final Lincoln grad session of my May grad season, and oh my goodness, I don’t think I could have picked a more perfect grad to wrap up an amazing season! Samantha is so incredibly kind, was a joy to have in front of the camera, and truly has worked so hard to make her dreams a reality!

Samantha recently graduated with her law degree from The University of Baltimore School of Law, and to celebrate, we got up super early and met at the Lincoln Memorial! She has THE best sister in the world, who came along to keep track of our gear, grad robes, and anything Samantha may need. Did I mention we met at 5:50AM?! Seriously, sister of the YEAR!

My grads and I seriously got SO lucky with the weather this year… we were treated to another glorious morning. Though we had our share of heat and humidity with a few bugs peppered, we got to enjoy some of the most amazing morning light! In short, it couldn’t have been more perfect!

Samantha’s future plans include starting an incredible fellowship at the American Red Cross— Talk about a way to make a HUGE difference with your degree! It was such a joy to work with this amazing grad! I can’t wait for you to get a glimpse into our time together!

Congratulations, Samantha!

I knew we were in for a treat of a morning when the sunrise looked like THIS! One of my favorite parts of sunrise sessions at Lincoln is seeing the colors light up the morning sky behind the Capitol!

PS Future grads dreaming of a session at the Lincoln Memorial should note that it’s currently under construction until 2026. Don’t worry, though! There are plenty of alternative locations in DC that offer equally stunning backdrops. This session features one of my recommended itineraries for grads to use throughout construction. You can check out the project details and explore other options here.

Then, Samantha arrived and we got to WRK! How gorgeous is she?!
