Rose Courts Photography | A Lifestyle Brand Session in Old Town Alexandria

Meet Court! She’s an Indiana-based wedding photographer who I actually met ONLINE! If you’ve spent any amount of time around here, you may know that I love Katelyn James and her education! Well… we both love learning from KJ and actually met in one of her educational Facebook groups! Court had posted a question as she worked to plan a destination cherry blossom session + I hopped in the comments to share a few tips and tricks I’ve picked up throughout my years of photographing in DC!

One thing led to another, and before I knew it, we were knee-deep in planning her lifestyle brand session meets gorgeous florally pink headshots! We chatted back and forth for a few weeks, planning out the logistics, outfits, and concept ideas, and then… it was time to meet up in person!

She has some exciting + top-secret projects in the works, so we first met up where she was staying to take a few photos to help share more about this season of planning. From there, we were off to Old Town! The day before our session, Court + her friend Abby worked hard to scout out the best blooms in town. We weren’t working with much so early in the season, but they managed to track down what may have been the ONLY street corner in bloom in the entire DMV! I was thrilled to have some gorgeous pink blooms to work with and was so thankful that they were in town in advance to do some scouting!

We covered some serious ground in the historic and gorgeous Old Town Alexandria… just wait until you see some of the images we were able to capture together! Want to see more from our session? Keep scrolling!
