I can’t even tell you how EXCITED I am to share today’s post with you! I’m not going to lie… I wanted to share this with you last week, but something told me you may just need a little extra sunshine this week, so I decided to hold off.
I’m so excited to introduce Jackie and George to you!!! Jackie is one of my good friends that I met back in high school and a huge supporter of CKP (HI JACKIE!! YES, TODAY IS YOUR BLOG DAY!!! 🎉). It’s been a few years since we’ve seen each other, even though we try our best to keep up with each other every day on Snapchat. Jackie lives in California these days and I in DC, but for about 6 hours a few weeks ago, we were in our hometown at the same time! It’s been YEARS since this has happened, so when we both realized this, we pretty much freaked out and started planning our reunion right away. THEN I got an Instagram message from her boyfriend, George, that he was planning to PROPOSE while she was home!
*Insert me actually freaking out and running around my apartment while simultaneously trying to play it cool as I “coordinated” plans with Jackie*
The original plan was to have me photograph the moment George got down on one knee, but as we worked through planning the big moment, news continued to break about this not-so-little thing called COVID-19. Our plans were quickly changing, and though I’m sad that I wasn’t able to be there for the big moment, I’m so grateful that I was able to host a quick little mini session with these two right before I had to leave town!
Jackie and George two are just the sweetest, always look for a reason to laugh, and I am so so SO excited to see what their future holds. Enjoy a few of my favorite frames from our quick time together!!
