Allie and Bryant | A Black and Blush Mid-Century Modern Inspired Wedding at District Winery in Washington, DC

Another wedding blog post this week?! You bet, friend! This weekend was busy in the BEST way possible, and today, I’m SO excited to share Allie and Bryant’s gorgeous DC wedding day with you!

Their wedding day was nothing short of perfection. If you’ve spent any amount of time around DC the last couple of weeks, you may know that it has been unseasonably WARM! Friday was freezing cold— hovering just under 40 degrees all day long! Because of that, I was a little worried about what Saturday might bring, but when I stepped outside and found a gorgeous, sunny day that was warm enough to be outside in just a cardigan, I knew we were in for a TREAT of a day. And? That’s just what we got! Their wedding day was one for the books!

Allie and Bryant are two of the most genuine and kind souls… they’re the kind of people that you feel comfortable with upon meeting them for the first time, they put others first, love their families fiercely, are intelligent and thoughtful, and surround themselves with amazing people. They are so good with words… making me giggle in the BEST way with each email they sent me throughout the planning process. Even more than that though, you can tell that what they have together is so incredibly special. They are each the other’s rock— their person. One of my favorite parts of photographing first looks is seeing any wedding day jitters that couples had just moments before turn to pure excitement the moment they embrace for the first time, and that’s just what happened with these two. They were SO excited to officially become the other’s spouse…. sharing many happy tears and sweet moments throughout their day. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a couple get so teary during their ceremony… it was so special to capture these moments for them and their families.

I am SO excited for you to get a peek into Allie & Bryant’s black and blush mid-century modern inspired wedding day at District Winery! Not only was their wedding day the sweetest, uniting two incredible people as husband and wife, but it was SO much fun from start to finish. Their wedding day design was absolutely gorgeous, too! (Peonies in February?! Count me in!)

Ready for all the pretty and sweetness?!

Love this group of ladies! Bridesmaids first looks are one of my favorite things! Time for Allie & Bryant’s first look! The SWEETEST reaction! These two are just too sweet! When at District Winery… This crew was AWESOME all day long!  LOVE the way these blush florals pop on these dresses! GAH! Still not over these gorgeous florals… Time to get Allie and Bryant MARRIED!!! OFFICIAL! We snuck outside post-ceremony for a few just-married portraits on the waterfront! We had about 3 minutes to get these shots, and it was worth every second! One of my FAVORITES! Uhhh HELLO! I can’t get over how GORGEOUS District Winery is! Helen Olivia knocked the florals and greenery statement pieces out of the park! Time to CELEBRATE!! Allie and Bryant are married!!!!!  A huge thank you to these two for allowing me and Savannah to document their wedding day! Allie and Bryant… I’m wishing you all the brightest and best days ahead! Congratulations!! (And see you around 14th Street corridor!)
